$ 29.99

This unique artwork renders an antique 1920's rotary dial telephone overlayed across an invoice from the centuries old british manufacturer, Garrard Engineering & Manufacturing Company LTD. The invoice is dated 28th October 1930 as was issued by Garrard's manufacturing location in Swindon for a No. 11A "Garrard" Main Spring. Garrard has a long history in Great Britiain, as a fine jeweler and for manufacturing spring driven motors among other things. Perhaps Garrard is best remembered by contemporaries for their high quality automatic phonographic turntables. In fact, the Garrard name was synonymous with the very best record turntables available during a lost vinyl age.. Framed print has the appearance of being printed on a brass plate which does not come through clearly in the product image (background is darker and looks like gold/brass).. Antique dark finish wood frame with gold gilded inner lip and plaster appearance. Glass face. Measures 14. 1/2 x 18. 1/2. in. Moulding face meaures 1. 1/4. in and has a 3/4. in depth. Masonite backed with quality brass backing clips securely screwed into frame back. Sawtooth hanger. Hangs vertically. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece and has two complementary pieces also available (Keys/Garrard. search: B00EQEOVVU and North's Typewriter/Alfred Bull Printer. Search: B00FVFNRW2 )
