Short Beach

Short Beach runs along the mouth of the Housatonic River where it meets Long Island Sound. Amenities include bathrooms, changing rooms, a snack bar, beach volleyball, golf, fireplaces, accessibility mats, tennis, basketball, a pirate ship playground, a full-service restaurant and more.

Natural Shoreline

Long Beach

A quieter, largely unimproved beach whose natural beauty recalls the Cape Cod National Seashore. Portable bathrooms are the only facilities. Look for shorebirds, fish, comb the beach for shells and sea glass, or take a long walk toward historic Pleasure Beach in Bridgeport.

Neighborhood Beach & Seawall

Russian Beach & Point No Point

These neighboring beach areas offer two different Lordship experiences. Russian Beach runs parallel to Park Boulevard and is used mainly by residents because it has no public parking. Point No Point—also called the Seawall—has a small beach in front of the Surfside Hotel and a long seawall overlooking Long Island Sound.

Connecticut Audubon Society at Stratford Point

A peninsula fronting Long Island Sound and the mouth of the Housatonic River, with a coastal meadow and a beach facing north toward Milford Point. A short trail follows the peninsula edge with views of the river, Long Island Sound and Charles Island in Milford.
