Mellow Monkey is pleased to once again announce its participation in the Connecticut Office of Tourism's “Open House Day” on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Mellow Monkey Gifts and Decor is a statewide destination and an experience that goes way beyond shopping. And once again, we're participating in Connecticut Open House Day 2026 . This is the annual event where the best of Connecticut shows itself off to both state residents as well as out-of-state visitors.
Our store is located in a warehouse along the Housatonic River where it meets Long Island Sound - and has all the coastal vibe and feels of your favorite vacation gift shop.

About Stratford Junior Women's Club
Part of a statewide organization, the SJWC provides a number of community programs throughout the year, administered and staffed by the organization's motivated volunteers. Programs include:
Local Scholarships
Every year SJWC provides scholarships to local students to help aid in their higher education.
Holiday Season
Every holiday season, SJWC comes together to host an adoptive family and toy drive for Stratford families.
Community Connections
The community is full of people who want to help. Volunteers at SJWC work to help connect people providing services with the people who need them

About Stratford Utility Lifeline
Sadly, many of our neighbors are currently facing the impossible choice between heating their homes, putting food on the table, or filling life-saving prescriptions. Some are older adults living on a fixed income; others are hardworking families whose earnings simply haven’t kept pace with the rising cost of living.
The Stratford Utility Lifeline is administered by the Town of Stratford Community & Senior Services provides emergency assistance to residents struggling to pay their heating and utility bills.
By shopping this event, you will automatically be contributing to this lifeline that provides more than just financial relief—it offers security and hope.
• Preventing utility shut-offs during critical times.
• Filling oil and propane tanks to ensure no home goes cold.
• Offering a vital safety net for neighbors experiencing sudden financial distress.

Ticket availability is limited - and tickets are FREE but you must have a ticket to attend (sorry, no exceptions).
* 15% of the proceeds before sales tax from regularly priced merchandise in store will be donated to Stratford Utility Lifeline. Fundraising merchandise and gift card purchases are excluded.
Mellow Monkey's Owner is Riding 200 miles in March to help raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association, in an effort to end Alzheimer's.
