This Thanksgiving, 500 local families will have something special to gather around—and you can help make it happen.

Mellow Monkey is proud to partner with nOURish Bridgeport to collect food and monetary donations for its annual Thanksgiving Feast in a Box program.

On Saturday, November 21, 2026, nOURish Bridgeport will distribute Thanksgiving meals through its soup kitchen, helping 500 families in our community enjoy a holiday meal.

For families facing food insecurity, Thanksgiving can bring added financial pressure. Together, we can help replace some of that worry with the comfort of a good meal and the knowledge that their neighbors care.

Your $35 donation helps provide a turkey for one family's Thanksgiving feast.

Your $100 donation helps provide a complete Thanksgiving meal for one family.

Mellow Monkey is accepting donations of the following nonperishable Thanksgiving essentials:

• Canned sweet potatoes

• Canned green beans

• Canned cranberry sauce

• Dry stuffing mix

• Canned corn

• Canned cream of mushroom soup

• Boxed instant potatoes

• we cannot accept turkey donations

About nOURish Bridgeport

Food. Community. Opportunity.

Founded in 2010, nOURish Bridgeport, Inc. is a volunteer-powered, community-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity while treating every neighbor with respect and dignity.

What began as a response to hunger has grown into a remarkable network of programs that includes a Super Food Pantry, Mobile Hot Meals, English Classes, and an innovative indoor hydroponic farm.

The impact is extraordinary:

• 14,000 pounds of food every week. The Super Food Pantry sources and purchases approximately 14,000 pounds of shelf-stable and perishable food each week.

• 400 families served weekly. Approximately 2,000 food-insecure neighbors, many of them children, receive groceries through the pantry.

• Dignity through choice. Instead of simply handing out prepacked bags, nOURish operates a Shopper's Choice pantry, where volunteers accompany neighbors as they select groceries that meet their families' needs.

• Connecticut's first nonprofit indoor hydroponic farm. Established in 2022, the nOURish Farm addresses the shortage of fresh, healthy produce available to people relying on food pantries.

• 17 tons of fresh produce. In its first three years, the farm distributed an extraordinary 17 tons of produce.

• A community-wide impact. Through partnerships with schools, soup kitchens, farmers' markets and other organizations, nOURish helps provide nutritious food to thousands of Connecticut residents.

At the heart of everything nOURish Bridgeport does is a simple belief: Everyone deserves access to healthy food, to be treated with dignity, and to know that their community cares.
