Returns & Exchanges

We shop online too, so we know that the last thing anyone needs is a complicated returns process 


SIMPLY STATED: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return unused merchandise in its original purchase condition and packaging for exchange or refund within 30 days. Holiday items are not returnable.

Request a Return Authorization


YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: You must request a return authorization before sending your order to us (see link above).  Upon receiving your return authorization, please follow instructions shown below for “Preparing Your Package for Return.” Your return authorization is good for 14 days from date of issuance.

WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND: If you are not satisfied with the product style, color, functionality, or other product attributes, or you just changed your mind, you may return the item for a replacement or refund.

ARRIVED DAMAGED: If a product you received arrived damaged, you must report this to us within 5 days of receipt of your order.  By doing so, we “may” be able to process a  replacement without reclaiming the damaged product – provided you furnish us with a photo via email of the damaged item AND the shipping box or mailer.  Please also include a statement in your email indicating that the product was delivered by the carrier damaged

DEFECTIVE PRODUCT: If you are returning an item due to a defect in workmanship, you must report this to us within 5 days of receipt of your order.  In doing so, a prepaid return label may be issued (at our discretion) and the cost of return shipping covered by us provided - that the returned merchandise is deemed defective on inspection.

WRONG PRODUCT: If you believe we made a mistake and sent through something other than what you ordered, please contact us immediately so that we can remedy the error.

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS:  Returned merchandise must not have been used, worn, have opened packaging, missing parts, missing warranty cards and manuals, missing UPC/barcodes, or be in a condition other than how they were received.  Merchandise that does not meet these criteria will either be refused or assessed up to a 50% restocking fee.

Any unauthorized return and/or package you refuse delivery of is subject to the actual outbound shipping charges and up to a 50% restocking fee – both of which will be deducted from the order refund (returned international orders may be subject to higher restocking fees.)  COD or freight collect returns will be refused.  Order shipping costs are not refundable.  Final disposition is the decision of Mellow Monkey.


  • You will receive your RA number and further instructions by email when return authorization is approved.
  • Pack the products into a shipping box or mailer with plenty of packing material, and tape securely. You can use the original box or mailer provided the item will be protected in shipment.  Be sure to include all original packaging.
  • Clearly print the address and return authorization number on the outside of the package, and include a copy of the return authorization email with the package contents.
  • If a prepaid label has been provided, please print and use this label on package. 
  • If prepaid label has not been provided, you will need to purchase a shipping label.
  • We STRONGLY suggest that your return package is insured with tracking number (note: Priority Mail includes $50 insurance, UPS and FEDEX include $100 insurance). We cannot accept responsibility for misdirected, lost or damaged returns. 
  • Consider purchasing your shipping label online at the US Postal Service website to obtain discounted rates over those charged at the Post Office counter.
