Food insecurity isn’t an abstract problem in our community—it affects thousands of our neighbors, and nOURish Bridgeport is doing extraordinary work to meet that need.

In 2025 alone, its Super Food Pantry served 39,523 individuals, and today its Super Food Pantry and Baby Center provide food to more than 3,000 people every week. Its Baby Center also supplies diapers, formula, baby food and wipes to approximately 400 babies each month. 

nOURish also operates Connecticut’s first nonprofit indoor hydroponic farm, growing fresh produce year-round and distributing it to Bridgeport Public Schools, food pantries, soup kitchens and other organizations serving people throughout the Bridgeport area.

And their work goes beyond groceries: the Feel the Warmth Community Supper provides approximately 12,000 hot meals each year to neighbors in need.
