Product Features
  • Every city has its quirky side, and New York City is no exception.
  • New York is chock-full of abandoned buildings and forgotten, hidden gems.
  • Follow native New Yorker Liz Roll on a photographic journey up to Harlem, through Brooklyn, and along the Highline before it was built. Peek inside an exquisite apartment building, abandoned in the Village.
  • In this collection of photographs, one will visit the inside of the Woolworth Building, once the tallest building in New York. See the forbidden and emotional immigrant hospital on Ellis Island. There are plenty of abandoned buildings in New York; one just has to know where to look. And don't wait because they never stay abandoned.

About the Author

Liz Roll is a freelance visual solutions provider, storyteller, and photographer in the Washington, D.C./Northern Virginia area. She also does historical documentation (i.e. urban blight) photography, documentary videos, events, conferences, and magazine shoots. Liz photographed many VIPs, including four presidents, three vice-presidents, and others too numerous to count.
