How they work:

This product contains a metal "battery shell" which has no cells or chemical content. It acts  as a conduit for the power providing the contact required within the battery box and the USB connector.  They never need charging.

To use, place battery shell into your item's battery compartment instead of using actual batteries. Start with the last "battery shell"  (the furthest one from the USB plug) and insert the shell into the battery pack with the USB wire leading out of the item. Make sure that the shells all make contact within the battery pack.  Then insert the USB plug into any USB adapter or external battery pack.
