Product Features
- Handcrafted by local artisan, Alan Winick, this tide clock has the image of Nauset Beach Light in Eastham, Massachusetts, with a harbor tide that rises and falls as the actual tide in your location goes from high to low.
- Nauset Light, officially Nauset Beach Light, is a restored lighthouse on the Cape Cod National Seashore near Eastham, Massachusetts.
- It was erected in 1923 using the 1877 tower that was moved here from the Chatham Light and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
- The tower is a cast iron plate shell lined with brick and stands 48 feet (15 m) high. The adjacent oil house (where fuel was stored in the early days) is made of brick and has also been restored.
- Fully automated, the beacon is a private aid to navigation.
- Tide clock has a blue wood frame with dual faced clock.
- Bottom of clock provides the traditional tide clock showing current tide. Dial provides hours to high tide and to low tide.
- Top of clock is what makes this time piece truly unique. A mechanically animated display of the waterline of the Atlantic Ocean rises and falls along Nauset Beach (Cape Cod National Seashore) as the tide goes from high to low.
